Google’s phone will be linux based, unlike the Apple iPhone which runs off Apple’s propritary software. The question that many are asking is how secure will the google phone be given that it is based on open source software?

Obviously nothing can be perfect, we have already seen many wireless security issues with Apple’s iPhone. A large percentage of the phones in Japan are Linux based, and security problems have been minimized. Security flaws can continue to be minimized as long as developers look at security as something that is mandatory and not something that is an option.
